armed forces families
we recognise that the term armed forces families covers a very broad and diverse range of people and backgrounds. this includes current serving personnel, their spouses and partners, their children, reservists and ex-service personnel. some of the issues you face will be similar to other groups we support whilst others will be very particular to your own situation. no matter what your situation is we are here to help.
heriot-watt university received the armed forces covenant silver award in october 2019 for its outstanding support for the armed forces. each silver award winner has signed the armed forces covenant, a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
at the heart of our commitment is the recognition of the value that ex-armed forces personnel and their families can bring to our workplace and our student body.
